Info From the City About Potential Impacts to SNAP Benefits

Dear NYCHA Residents, 

November SNAP benefits may be delayed due to the federal government shutdown. 

SNAP benefits cannot be issued unless the shutdown ends or other federal action provides necessary funds. Summer EBT and Public Assistance (cash benefits) are not affected. 

Food matters. Anyone in need of a hot meal right now or consistent access to benefits to purchase food for their family should refer to the NYC Food Policy Access page for options for accessing healthy food: NYC Food Policy Access page
