Apply for a NYCHA-CUNY Scholarship!
Applications are now open for the NYCHA-CUNY Scholarship. NYCHA annually provides numerous scholarships to support residents pursuing undergraduate or graduate degrees at City University of New York (CUNY) colleges.
The NYCHA-CUNY scholarships include:
- The NYCHA-CUNY Resident Scholarship for residents enrolled full-time residents at any CUNY college;
- The Regina A. Figueroa Memorial Scholarship for residents with a documented disability who are enrolled either part-time or full-time at a CUNY college;
- The Levine Family Scholarship for residents who are enrolled full-time at the City College of New York (CCNY);
- The Kofi Hormeku Scholarship for residents residing in Brownsville, East New York, or Ocean Hill, Brooklyn developments who are enrolled full-time at a CUNY college;
- The Kisha Jackson Memorial Scholarship for NYCHA residents living in Downtown Brooklyn who are enrolled full-time at a CUNY college;
- NYCHA Youth Pathways for NYCHA residents 18-24 who are enrolled full-time at CUNY college; and
- The Amazon NYCHA-CUNY Scholarship for NYCHA Residents who are enrolled full-time at a CUNY college.
All scholarships award one-time $1,000 grants to eligible public housing residents and Section 8 recipients who are pursuing undergraduate or graduate degrees at CUNY colleges, have 24 or more credits, and have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Learn more at on.nyc.gov/nycha-cuny.
Applications are due June 27, 2023, and must be submitted via NYCHA’s Self-Service Portal (select “NYCHA-CUNY Scholarship” in the left-side navigation section). If you don’t already have access to the Self-Service Portal, you must create a username and password.
