Celebrating Family Days at NYCHA Developments

From June through September, more than 150 Family Day celebrations were held at NYCHA developments in all five boroughs. Family days are annual development-wide festivities planned by resident associations for residents of all ages to enjoy. Every summer, residents come together at their developments for food, games, music and entertainment, face painting and bouncy houses, resources, and more. In addition to residents, the events are attended by NYCHA staff, elected officials, and local organizations.

This year, 18 developments commemorated milestone anniversaries and five developments were part of the City’s Hip Hop 50 tribute, celebrating the anniversary of hip hop at their Family Days through various activities.
