Celebrating Graduates of NYCHA’s Construction Training
Sixteen NYCHA residents recently graduated from the NYCHA Resident Training Academy’s (NRTA) construction training. The training was conducted by the Business & Industry Workforce Training Center at CUNY’s New York City College of Technology.
The NRTA is a collaboration among NYCHA, the Robin Hood Foundation, and a variety of premier training providers in New York City that offers employment-linked training opportunities for NYCHA residents in various fields, including construction. At the end of the course, NRTA trainees graduate with specialized training and industry-recognized certifications.
Since 2010, 3,262 residents have graduated from all of the NRTA’s programs (including 417 construction training graduates).
