“Pay It Off” Child Support Program Returns in March 2026

For a limited time, the NYC Office of Child Support Services will offer its “Pay It Off” program, which provides noncustodial parents the opportunity to reduce the child support debt they owe to the NYC Department of Social Services by double when they make a payment of at least $500. The program will run from March 2 through March 13, 2026.

The dollar-for-dollar reduction (up to the amount owed), plus the opportunity to eliminate all interest when a judgment is paid in full, can exponentially decrease the noncustodial parents’ debt. Additionally, signing up for the Arrears Credit Program during the Pay It Off period can further reduce debt by another $2,500. Learn more at nyc.gov/payitoff. 

The average debt reduction is $4,800 per case! Nearly 5,000 noncustodial parents have participated in the Pay It Off program.
