Let Us Know if Children Live With or Visit You!

Per New York City law, residents must inform NYCHA if a child under 6 years old lives in or routinely spends 10 or more hours each week in your apartment. This information determines NYCHA’s next steps for taking protective measures if there is lead-based paint in the apartment.

New York City law also requires residents to inform NYCHA if a child under 11 years old lives in your apartment so that NYCHA can install window guards. You can request window guards even if no children live with you.

You can provide this information to NYCHA by responding to the Annual Lead-Based Paint and Window Guard Notice and Stove Knob Cover Annual Notice, which NYCHA mails to your home every January. You can also complete these forms through NYCHA’s online Self-Service Portal: https://selfserve.nycha.info/.

Thank you for helping us create safe and healthy communities at NYCHA!
