Food Business Pathways: Making NYC More Inclusive for Small Businesses

The Food Business Pathways (FBP) program is a free food business training program that helps NYCHA public housing residents and NYCHA Section 8 voucher holders reach their dreams of starting or growing their own food businesses.

Ninety-two new businesses have been created in New York City through the FBP program!

Residents accepted into the program receive 10 weeks of business training, grants to pay for your food handler’s license and business incorporation, business coaching, and an opportunity to win free commercial kitchen space.

FBP is a collaboration between NYCHA’s Resident Economic Empowerment & Sustainability (REES) office, NYC Department of Small Business Services (SBS), Citi Community Development, Hot Bread Kitchen, Start Small Think Big, other kitchen incubators, and REES zone partners around the city.
