Funding Awarded for Security Upgrades at Claremont Consolidated

On May 2, Bronx Borough President Vanessa Gibson’s office presented a $294,000 check to support security enhancements at NYCHA’s Teller Avenue-166th Street/Claremont Consolidated development.

Borough President Gibson joined Assemblymember Landon Dais, City Councilmember Althea Stevens, and representatives from NYCHA and the BronxConnect youth organization to celebrate the investment in key upgrades, including new security cameras, that will enhance community safety.

“Safety and security are of the utmost importance to our mission of providing quality housing to NYCHA residents,” NYCHA Chief Executive Officer Lisa Bova-Hiatt said. “We are truly grateful to Bronx Borough President Gibson for marshalling the resources needed to make these important security upgrades and for her ongoing dedication and advocacy for all of the NYCHA residents who call the Bronx home.”
