Halloween Pawrade at Castle Hill Houses

The cutest residents of Castle Hill Houses strutted in their costumes at a Halloween Pawrade held on October 30 at the development’s green space. By next Halloween, the furry residents and their owners will be able to show off their costumes in a Pawrade at the development’s community dog park – the first-ever dog park at a NYCHA development – which is scheduled to be completed later this year.

The event was sponsored by the partners behind the development’s dog park and upgraded outdoor community space: NYCHA’s Green Space Connections initiative, the Public Housing Community Fund, Design Trust for Public Space, Neighborhood Safety Initiatives, and Grain Collective. The project is part of NYCHA’s Connected Communities program, which transforms and modernizes open spaces through public-private partnerships to create safer and more resilient open spaces for residents.
