Mariner’s Harbor Houses to Receive Upgraded Entrance Doors for Improved Safety
Former State Assemblyman Michael Cusick announced in late December that his office secured $2.7 million in funding to replace dozens of entrance doors at Mariner’s Harbor Houses.
The project funding – acquired through the State and Municipal Facilities Program – will help provide enhanced security at the Staten Island development.
Assemblyman Cusick, who left office at the end of 2022 after nearly two decades in public service, visited Mariner’s Harbor on December 22 to announce the upcoming entrance doors upgrade project. He was joined at the event by community leaders, including Mariner’s Harbor Resident Association President Brenda Charles and NYCHA’s Senior Vice President of Intergovernmental Affairs Brian Honan.
NYCHA is currently conducting initial design and scoping work for the capital project.
