NYCHA’s New Rent Processing Vendor

NYCHA is switching its rent processing vendor from Wells Fargo to JPMorgan Chase this summer, as part of our efforts to better serve you. This does not impact the amount of rent you pay, and it means that in addition to the current credit card payment methods (Visa, Mastercard), Amex and Discover will now be accepted. However, there will be some minor impact on how you pay your rent – please see below for details about the upcoming changes.

One-time online rent payments

There will be a new website for making one-time rent payments online starting in late June: on.nyc.gov/onetimerentpayment.

Recurring and automatic rent payments through E-Bill

If you are already enrolled in E-Bill, you will be able to access your account on the new online payment website starting in late June: on.nyc.gov/onlinerentpayment. You will receive an email with a temporary password for the new website, and you do not need to take any action now.

Paying rent by mail

If you currently receive your monthly rent statement by mail, your August 2024 rent statement will provide the new address to send your rent payments:

NYCHA
P.O. Box 5543

Binghamton, NY 13902-5543

NYCHA will continue sending rent statements; however, to make rent payment easier and more convenient, we encourage you to pay your rent online.

Paying rent by phone

If you pay your rent by phone, there will be a new number for phone payments starting in August: (833) 894-0899.

The July 2024 rent statement will be the last statement processed by Wells Fargo. JPMorgan Chase will begin processing rent in August 2024. Please note that any payments made to Wells Fargo after the transition will be forwarded to JPMorgan Chase, and your account will be credited.

Please visit on.nyc.gov/payrent for more information. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to NYCHA’s Customer Contact Center at (718) 707-7771. Thank you for your continued partnership as we strive to best serve you.
