Preventative Maintenance Scheduled for 21 Developments
During the week of July 20, 21 NYCHA developments will experience planned hot water outages for annual preventative maintenance.
Annual preventative maintenance is important for the health and safety of NYCHA residents because it helps preserve heating equipment and infrastructure. Due to COVID-19, this important maintenance was delayed. Preventative maintenance typically happens during warmer months and affects boilers for both heat and hot water, hot water heaters, and vacuum tanks.
NYCHA has 58 planned hot water outages scheduled for the following developments:
- July 20, 2020 – Pink Houses, Johnson Houses, Robinson Houses, Wagner Houses, Unity Plaza, Stapleton Houses, and Lincoln Houses
