Update on the Impact of the Global IT Outage

Dear Residents,

As you may know, a widespread information technology (IT) outage affected many vital systems across the world today, including at NYCHA. Once the outage occurred, NYCHA immediately assessed its impact and worked to ensure that we could continue serving residents without any interruption.

While there was some impact to the Customer Contact Center (CCC) and MyNYCHA app, our Walk-In Centers in the Brooklyn and Bronx, as well as development staff, remained available to assist residents. Please note that the CCC and MyNYCHA are now fully operational again, thanks to the hard work of our IT team and other staff. If you need assistance, please call the CCC at 718-707-7771 or use MyNYCHA (www.nyc.gov/MyNYCHA). Please be patient, however, as there may be slight delays when contacting the CCC at the moment.
