Apply Now for Affordable Housing at Twin Parks Terrace

Applications are being accepted now through April 11 for affordable apartments at the new Twin Parks Terrace development in the Fordham Heights neighborhood of the Bronx.

Located at 373 East 183rd St., Twin Parks Terrace features 182 affordable apartments for low- and moderate-income people, including 46 apartments set aside for homeless households and 34 apartments set aside for NYCHA residents. The energy-efficient development is constructed on a former NYCHA parking lot adjacent to Twin Parks West, which underwent a conversion in 2018 through NYCHA’s Permanent Affordability Commitment Together (PACT) program.

The Twin Parks Terrace property includes 41 studio apartments, 77 one-bedroom apartments, 56 two-bedroom apartments, and 7 three-bedroom apartments, as well as 1 superintendent unit. The apartments are affordable to residents from 30 percent to 80 percent of the Area Median Income (AMI). Designed by Danois Architects, the 14-story building, which has solar photovoltaic panels on the roof, was developed by Settlement Housing Fund and Joy Construction.

Twin Parks Terrace additionally features nearly 11,000 square feet of retail space and 1,883 square feet of community facility space. Residents will have access to on-site amenities, including a laundry room, outdoor playground, gardens, meeting rooms, children’s playroom, recreation room, fitness room, and bike storage. Social services will be provided by BronxWorks.

In partnership with the Groundswell arts organization, local community youth will have the opportunity to help design and create a mural with social justice themes at the new development.
