Join the Fund for Public Housing as a Resident Board Member
The Fund for Public Housing is seeking four NYCHA residents to join its board, including two young adults between the ages of 18 and 24. The Fund for Public Housing is a non-profit organization that creates and leverages resources and relationships to enhance the opportunities and quality of life for NYCHA residents, while uplifting the importance of public housing to New York City. Applications must be submitted by August 15, 2021, and board members will be chosen in September.
The Fund for Public Housing’s Board of Directors are responsible for planning, policy, resource development, and oversight in support of our mission and vision. Board members are volunteer, unpaid positions.
Resident members of the Board will represent their fellow residents, introduce the Fund for Public Housing to residents and other New Yorkers, and help gain support for the Fund and the resident programs it supports. Board members are expected to serve three-year terms and attend Board, committee, and other meetings.
To qualify, you must be:
- A NYCHA resident in good standing, and
