Help shape NYCHA’s transformation – apply to serve on the Resident Roundtable!

Dear Resident,

NYCHA is launching a Resident Roundtable in June that will provide an opportunity for residents to help design the implementation of the Authority’s Transformation Plan.

The Roundtable will consist of approximately 30 residents who reflect NYCHA’s diverse population and represent each of the Authority’s “Neighborhood” portfolios. Its members will provide valuable feedback and recommendations to implement the Transformation Plan, in areas such as lease enforcement, residents’ quality of life, safety and security, communication between residents and NYCHA, and other areas identified by residents and staff.

The Citywide Council of Presidents (CCOP), the official citywide NYCHA resident organization, will appoint five residents to the Roundtable. The remaining positions are open to all NYCHA residents and voucher holders in PACT/RAD developments.

Each Roundtable member will serve for two years. Their responsibilities will include attending Roundtable and committee meetings; getting input and ideas from their neighbors; making recommendations on NYCHA’s policies and programs; and participating in the implementation of the Transformation Plan as well as other areas of the Authority’s work.

The application period will be open from April 19 through May 10. To apply, please complete the application, available at https://on.nyc.gov/nycha-engagementYou can also email a downloaded or scanned/photographed copy to resident.roundtable@nycha.nyc.gov or bring a printed copy to your property management office.
