Trust Town Halls & Voting Process Workshops

Governor Kathy Hochul signed legislation in June authorizing the creation of the NYC Public Housing Preservation Trust, which will bring billions of dollars in comprehensive renovations to thousands of NYCHA apartments while maintaining residents’ rights and keeping our properties 100 percent public.

We are kicking off periodic virtual town halls to provide general information about the Trust and answer your questions. Please register by clicking the link below for the Zoom town hall that you would like to attend:

Wednesday, September 7, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Thursday, September 22, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The latest details about Trust town halls and workshops can be found here. For more information about the Trust, please read this one-pager and these FAQs. You can also read the legislation establishing the Trust here.

The Trust legislation requires the creation of a resident opt-in voting process, which will allow residents to decide the future of their homes. We are pleased to invite you to the first in our series of workshops about the Trust voting process. At these workshops, we will work together in small groups to get your input on the design of the voting process. Please note that each of these workshops will cover the same material.

Please register by clicking here for the in-person voting process workshop that you would like to attend:
