Join the NYCHA Board: Application Deadline Extended!
The NYCHA Board is seeking NYCHA residents to fill two open seats. The application filing period is open from November 8, 2021, through December 31, 2021.
The two resident board members will be appointed by the Mayor around January/February 2022 to serve up to a three-year term. Board members represent the hundreds of thousands of people who call NYCHA home when voting on contracts, resolutions, policies, rules and regulations, and other administrative matters.
This is not a full-time position, but you should be able to devote a minimum of 15-20 hours each month, for which you will receive a monthly stipend per hours of service up to $1,500. All applications must be submitted online or postmarked by December 31, 2021.
To qualify, you must be:
- At least 18 years old
- A NYCHA resident in good standing
- Cleared for service by the New York City Department of Investigation and the New York City Conflicts of Interest Board

- Online at http://on.nyc.gov/nycha-board. Download the editable form and save the completed application. Please make sure to mark the certification checkbox on the last page of the application. Upload the completed application (PDF) and submit it through the online form.
- Pick up an application at any Property Management Office or Borough Management Office
