Great Opportunity for College-Bound NYCHA Students

There’s still time to apply!

The Fund for Public Housing is offering 12 NYCHA college-bound high school graduates the opportunity to participate in a mentoring program that provides targeted advising, outreach, and other key resources to support and ensure their college success. In partnership with iMentor, the NYCHA College Mentorship Program pairs students with trained mentors and provides support for building strong mentee-mentor relationships throughout the program.

The program features workshops and events, including monthly college skill-building for mentee-mentor pairs to help students plan for the future and stay on track for meeting educational goals. Mentors will help mentees navigate the various processes and tasks involved in college life, such as registration for classes and how to get help with financial aid. High school graduates entering first year of college in the fall of 2021 are eligible. This program is sponsored by the volunteer Advisory Council of the Fund for Public Housing. Applications will be accepted until all slots are filled.
